Ellisville Children’s Services

The Children’s Department of the Ellisville Public Library offers a variety of materials to encourage reading and literacy in children of all ages. The Easy book section features board books and picture books for children from birth to third grade. The Juvenile Fiction book section features chapter books for children in grades two to six. The Young Adult book section features books for children in grades 7 and up. The library also carries children’s audio books and videos.

The Children’s Department features a bright, comfortable seating area for children to read, color, or play with puzzles.

The Children’s Department offers a weekly program for ages 5 to 12 called Storyzone. The program features themed stories followed by a related craft. This program is held every Thursday at 3:30 pm.

The Friends of the Ellisville Public Library offer a monthly, family friendly activity. These activities are held one Thursday afternoon per month at 4 pm.

Summer Reading 2013 The theme for this year will be Reading is a Party! Programs will be held on Thursdays at 3:30 pm in Ellisville. Each week will feature a themed party with activities, crafts, and snacks. Children are encouraged to dress to match the theme. Children will earn prizes for time spent reading.
