We’re making a small update to our library hours as we continue working to best serve our community. Thank you for supporting your library! Laurel hours Effective April 6, 2026. Monday 9 am-6 pm. Tuesday 9 am-6 pm. Wednesday 9 am-5 pm. Thursday 9 am-5 pm. Friday 9 am-2 pm. Saturday 9 am-1 pm. Sunday closed.

Return overdue books on Thursdays to have your overdue fines waived! *Only applies to overdue fines for books, audiobooks, and magazines. Other charges, such as DVD fines, item replacement fees, collection charges, damaged items, etc., will not be waived. Items must be returned to the circulation desk to qualify. Fines on items in the drop box will not be waived. Fines are capped at $60.

Notary public services available. Please call in advance at (601) 428-4313 for Laurel or (601) 477-9271 for Ellisville. Cost: $2 per transaction, up to $5 per visit. 10:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, subject to notary availability. Not available within 1 hour of closing. Bring unsigned documents, valid government -issued photo ID, and requested witnesses. Available for simple documents only. We will not notarize the following: Real estate transactions (including deeds, mortgages, or closing documents). Wills, Living wills, trusts, or codicils. Birth, death, marriage, divorce, or naturalization certificates. I-9 forms or employment eligibility verifications. Documents in a language other than English. Documents already signed. Blank or incomplete documents. Photocopies of official or public record documents.
